This week at school was
fantastic! One thing I learned was more about the book called “The Witches”.
The part the whole class is reading right now is when all these witches get
turned into mice by a boy in a hotel and now the boy is back at home, the part
the class left off was when he wanted to know how long he would live because HE
turned into a mouse. Another thing I learned was how to sketch a haunted house.
It’s a very nice house and you start off with making two big rooms, then you
make windows, doors, a roof, and some final touches. One other thing I learned
was how to play a game called “Kakooma”. It’s a big math game; you play by
making an answer with groups of numbers. One thing I enjoyed this week was
sketching a haunted house. It was fun sketching it because my house was REALLY
nice and I also liked it because I don’t really sketch haunted houses. Another
thing I enjoyed this week was playing the game “Kakooma with the whole class
because when there was an answer in the game the whole class would say it out
loud, I also enjoyed the Halloween party. I enjoyed it because I wait every
year for Halloween and then I get candy and I can party! One goal I have for
this week is to save as most candy as I can from Halloween!

3-2-1 Update by: Kate
This week at
school was another 4-day week. It wasn’t as fun as all the other weeks. It wasn’t
as fun because I fractured my collarbone last Thursday. One thing I learned this
week was balancing equations on the board its fun when we do it on the board
because you can show the class what you can do.
Another thing I learned was how
to say your birthday in French 'mon anniversaire.' Mine is deux janvier. One last
thing I learned was old tom white on recorder it’s harder when I only have one
hand but I tried my best!!!
One thing I enjoyed was sketching Vampires, black
cats and bats. One last thing I enjoyed was doing writers workshop, it’s when
you can write about anything you want. I wrote about my dog Coco. Another thing
I want to add is when the whole class including Ms. Dodds were laughing because
Maliky made a really funny face none of us could stop laughing it was so
funny!!!!! One goal for myself this week is to keep trying and don’t let my arm
bring me down from what I want to do.

3-2-1 weekly update
This week at school was short, fun and
also a bit busy.
One thing I learned was the Canada map,
the provinces, territories and capital cities. We also did a puzzle in
computer.
Another thing I learned were lots of
new juicy words to use in my fall poem. I used most of the words and they made
my fall poem sound better!
One last thing I learned was the song
called Brave it’s a really nice song.
One thing I enjoyed was having PJ day!
I was excited that morning. (That’s future.)
One last thing I enjoyed was art. I
enjoyed art because we were doing lots of fun things and we were making our
name tags!
My goal for this week is to read and
finish at least 1 2 or 3 books or chapter books.
to reach my goal I will make sure I will
read!

Bag Up MB!
Our school is participating once again in Bag up Manitoba! This project has diverted over 6 million plastic bags from landfills since 2008 and turns trash into usable items like: Frisbees, bird houses, planter boxes and benches for schools. This year, the participation prize is a garden box, made from recycled plastic, from TREX! We could sure use that at BHS!
Start sending in your bags!
